I think companies where trying to hop on the autonomous, self driving bandwagon without actually thinking it through for them to come up with silly pilot names.for their system.

The car can do it in general conditions, but when the engine comes in at 30% battery level. The engine is unable to charge the battery and tow 1500kg at the same time for a long distance. So you would have a problem. So to prevent issues, MM NZ decided to keep a lower tow rating. - source AA
