Their priorities are totally out of whack. Sort core services - teachers, nurses, police etc.
So not only are we hard working taxpayers getting shafted blind by the fact that we have to pay for so called breaches by way of settlement payouts (even though some iwi say its not about the money, so why give them any) but we are also getting robbed blind by thieving lawyers. If you sell your house and the people you sold the house to then profit when they sell it, you cant claim for loss of that profit, so why do we keep pandering to iwi for the same thing ?
why do they keep on blaming the system for their low outcomes? Theres no-one making them leave school at 15 or younger , if they wanted to get ahead stay at school and get an education. If they arent happy how things have turned out since European settlement do they want to go back to how they were before colonisation ? No cars, roads, fast foods, electricity etc etc. The land they gave up was just scrub and rubbish, if they sold it and the buyer improved it get over it.

The number of times I see people hugging the centre lines is appalling. Our centre lines need to be much wider than just a strip of paint - should be at least half a metre gap between each lane. And have a look at the cars tyres next to you next time youre at the shops - the number of vehicles I see with bald / illegal tyres is shocking. Good idea they had to extends WOFs to 12 months for older vehicles - people think they are ok for another year after a WOF and dont get them checked. And new vehicles that dont need a WOF for 3 years. With new vehicles having extended service intervals some can do upwards of 20,000 km without being checked. If you have a service at 20 k and next one not due till 40 k your tyres could be shot and you dont know it.
totally agree with poustoenglese below - what is to stop the next generation putting their hand out and asking for more? Surely this money is better spent on things that are actually worthwhile - teachers and nurses, and not this never ending treaty nonsense ?
