Air NZ is such a low paid Airline compared with other airlines around the world, I was offered a job for 40% less than I was getting at another airline and told the difference was that I would be home in Auckland. Trouble is the cost of living is so much higher than almost anywhere
Wow no construction companies or big contract firms. I guess nzers are getting lazy or smarter. I wonder how different this would have looked say 40-50 years ago....

I worked at Air NZ, absolutely no work/life balance, especially if you have kids, constantly pushing you to up your revenue even though youe just upped it from the last month, I ended up leaving with no job to go to it was such an awful place to work - still laugh how everyone perceives this company to be the place to work - couldnt afford any travel while I was there and if you flew standby and couldnt get back to work in time you are required to pay the last minute full fare or basically loose you job. My friends husband is a pilot for them and she travels around a lot on the cheap - but for the average worker the perks are minimal.
Always a different perspective from the outside, to those on the inside. Also so much depends on your direct boss and the people you work with.

As someone who recently left employ at Air NZ I can guarantee you its far from roses working there. They go to a lot of trouble to look good on paper and silence those who would dare raise their voice.
Only people and businesses using Ranstads services have been polled. Highly bias and inaccurate data of the NZ market. Easy to tell as not a single software company listed
...total rubbish...staff turnover is running at over 40% at MBIE....if only the taxpayer knew how much money was spent due to staff leaving and joining ..
How can salary be the most sought after requirement of an employer yet DOC is at number 2? That doesnt make sense.

many escapees from AirNZ tell me the company is basically a bunch of tribes that barely cooperate with each other, so i will take this survey with a pinch of salt
I know people who work at maybe 6 of those employers and all I hear from them are horror stories.
What a stupid and reductive comment. So working for a bank (or more likely several banks) as a private sector example youd leave some glorious legacy to carry on your memory for generations to come?
Where in the list is that company that switched to a 4 day, 32 hour, work week without lowering pay? Surely they would be a better company to work for?
